Partnership with Purpose

At Harbor House we have the great joy of partnering with a number of remarkable people and organizations.  The individuals, churches, schools, foundations, corporations, and non-profits supporting Harbor House sustain our work and allow us to extend our reach even further in Oakland. Together, through the giving of time, talent, and treasure, our partners make a significant impact in enhancing the vitality of our community.

Foundations

Grants from foundations, as well as matching funds from donor employers, contribute 16% to our overall budget.  We are so grateful to partner with such a wide array of outstanding foundations and businesses doing important work on such a grand scale.  Their partnership is vital in the work we do with families.

Churches

Our church partners bless our community in so many ways, from providing volunteers and praying for families to supporting us financially. We could not do the work we do without the support of our church partners.  Donations from churches contribute 11% toward our overall expenses.

Nonprofit Partners

We are stronger together!  Other local organizations share our vision to serve this community and allow us to offer opportunities that we wouldn't be able to otherwise.  From specialized reading tutoring and soccer coaching to art instruction and pallets of food, nonprofit partners enhance the lives of our families and young people.
