Kacie Stratton | Executive Director

A former elementary and middle school speech-language pathologist, Kacie is passionate about developing leaders in under-resourced communities.  Kacie has a strong vision for coming alongside whole families and assisting them to achieve their full potential.  Kacie is the founder of The GreenHouse, a nonprofit organization in Sacramento where she served as Executive Director for ten years.  She joined the Harbor House team in September 2015 and is excited to be working with our beautifully diverse families, as well as our supportive donors, congregations, community partners, and staff.  She and her husband have three elementary-aged sons who daily keep them on their toes.

Guadalupe Del Toro | Olive’s Closet Clerk

Lupe has been with Harbor House for over 35 years. As a clerk of Olive’s Closet, she loves helping families find affordable children’s clothing.  Most people know that Lupe speaks fluent Spanish but they don’t know that Lupe would like to fly a plane!

Maria Del Toro | Custodian & Family Services Assistant

Maria is our amazing Custodian and also serves as our Family Services Assistant.  She was once a child in the Harbor House program and now lovingly serves our families and facility with her bright smile and dedicated work ethic.  Maria attended Laney College and would like to see all of her children (and those at HH!) get a college education. When she is able, Maria likes to volunteer with her children’s school to help the kids of Oakland flourish.

Tam Thi Ho | Food Box Coordinator

Tam is the Food Box Coordinator and has been with Harbor House since 2010. Tam attended the Administrative College in Saigon, Vietnam, and has an AA degree from Laney College. She enjoys working with the families at Harbor House each week. She also enjoys soccer, ping pong and tennis.  Tam loves flowers and would like to have a garden full of them!

Tsehai joined Harbor House as an Office Manager in August 2018. Being passionate about development work that can bring change in people’s lives, she worked in various international organizations including the United Nations. Chelsea Hartline | Director of Elementary Programs & Volunteer Coordinator

Chelsea joined Harbor House in August of 2019 and is running our afterschool program as well as coordinating volunteers. She hails from Atlanta, Georgia, where she completed a B.S. in Early Childhood Education at Georgia State University. She has a passion for social and emotional wellness and healthy eating. She hopes to continue the Harbor House legacy by serving our students holistically – mind, body, heart, & spirit. She loves to dance, garden, and eat good food. After work, she enjoys watching sunsets with her new husband!

Ashly Nation | Director of Teen Programs

Ashly joined the Harbor House Team in October 2017. She is an Oakland native that is very passionate about empowering young people in Oakland to use their God-given gifts and talents to be agents of change in their communities. Ashly received her B.A. in Biblical Studies from SUM Bible College & Theological Seminary, and is pursuing her M.A. in Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. When not at Harbor House, you may find Ashly at Oakland Street Fairs & Festivals, playing board games, eating out with friends, or helping churches reveal the love of God to their communities.

Tim Perkins | Assistant Youth Coordinator

Tim joined Harbor House in early 2018. He has heart for working with kids and teenagers. Tim provides support to our elementary programs as the kindergarten and first grade class leader, helping our youngest students build their skills in literacy and math.
